Please take note of the following information: I always conduct a trial assessment with all new dogs. This allows your dog to explore my home and garden at their own pace, get to know us and my dogs, and become familiar with the smells and routines. I also feed and walk the dogs locally to observe how they react in different environments. They will receive lots of love, cuddles, and playtime.

Additionally, I like to observe their behaviour and where they prefer to sleep; no area of the house is off-limits. My goal is for your dog to feel safe and trust me, so when it's time for them to come and stay, they are excited to see me and readily adapt to their home away from home. I strive to make the trial a positive experience so your dog understands that they are coming here for a holiday and that you will return. It is a test run to see how they will cope without you. You must be available to collect them early if your dog is not coping well and is feeling stressed and anxious. Your dog's welfare is my top priority.

All home boarding bookings are only confirmed after a successful trial has been completed. There are no exceptions to this rule, and I do not accept last-minute bookings for dogs that have not had a trial. Trial assessments are crucial for a successful home-from-home boarding stay and are non-negotiable.

Please note: There are no guarantees that your dog will behave as you expect during the trial. Please understand that I am evaluating the dog in my home environment. Most dogs settle in and are happy, but there are occasions when a dog may be overly anxious, pacing, and crying despite reassurance. In such cases, the dog is unhappy. If I notice this behaviour within the first few hours, I will contact you and request that the dog be collected. I understand that this may be disappointing, but please remember that your dog's welfare is my top priority.
